Ram Trucks has decided to expand its portfolio with the introduction of the 2023 Ram Heavy Duty Rebel.

In addition to the usual 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine, it will now be available with an inline-six 6.7-liter

Cummins Turbo Diesel engine.

The new Ram 2500 Rebel will sit directly below the beefy Ram 2500 Power Wagon and just above the 2500 Laramie trim level

Like the Power Wagon, the 2023 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel will be available in four-wheel drive.

But unlike the Power Wagon, the Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel doesn't get a front box.

This is the second variant of the Ramu Rebel after the lightweight 1500 Rebel was introduced in 2016.

The current lineup of Ram 2500 trucks uses a massive 6.4L V8 engine that delivers 410 HP and 429 lb-ft of power and torque

The same HEMI V8 sits inside the 2023 Ram 2500 Rebel, but the vehicle also gets an optional inline-six 6.7-liter turbodiesel that delivers 370 HP and 850 lb-ft.

This is the same engine that produces 420 HP and 1,075 Nm when installed in the Ram 3500.

The power output of the 2023 Ram Heavy Duty Rebel may be slightly less than the V8, but the torque delivered by the diesel engine is nearly double. gasoline V8

The turbodiesel trim gets a six-speed automatic transmission, and the peppier V8 is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The transmission allows you to choose whether you want these power values on all four wheels or just the rear two.

This setup is complemented by a single-screen display that shows both sides of the 2500 Rebel to aid drivers in maneuvering towing movements.
