I've just had the opportunity to operate both the gas-powered and hybrid versions of the Toyota Highlander 2022.

With the exception of their powertrains, both versions are identical in practically every respect.

And while many purchasers will probably choose the gas version with its powerful V6 engine

I'm here to tell you that the hybrid model is actually a far more practical option.

I strongly suggest the 2022 Toyota Highlander Hybrid because of its excellent fuel economy.

The Highlander hybrid can get up to 36 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway

according to the EPA. In my real-world tests for the week I had the 2022 Highlander Hybrid, I averaged 35 mpg.

That's a significant sum for a three-row SUV with a very roomy and pleasant interior that can accommodate up to eight passengers

The Highlander Hybrids' combined 243 horsepower is more than sufficient for daily driving tasks,

If anything, I discovered that the extra torque provided by the electric motor in the hybrid engine

Never once did I worry about not having enough electricity.

On the other hand, the V6 engine in the 2022 Highlander is less effective.

The conventional Highlander had higher fuel efficiency ratings than its hybrid stablemate

with the EPA rating it at 20 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. In my actual tests
