These two large pickup trucks are racing against electric in this desert drag race head-to-head against ICE.

Compared to the R1T, the Rivian R1S has so far received less attention. The latter is offered as the company's pickup truck

competes with models like the Chevrolet Silverado EV and Ford F-150 Lightning

With huge SUVs, the R1S enters a more challenging and competitive market.

However, another type of self-propelled vehicle has grown during the last ten years.

This might be the beginning of the electric vehicle era.

They are getting considerably more inexpensive and provide a lot of torque when needed.

A competition is developing, and Edmunds Cars has just posted a new video on YouTube featuring the Ram TRX

This video is intriguing since it doesn't really demonstrate how these trucks are used off-road,

despite the fact that this is what they were designed for, unlike previous footage shot on tarmac.

The numbers of the two trucks are rapidly discussed by our presenter Ryan ZumMallen, starting with the TRX,

which has a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that produces an astounding 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque.
