Dodge Challenger Demon Surpasses 200 MPH [Video]

The Dodge Challenger Demon is a beastly car, but even with that in mind, it's impressive to see it surpass 200 mph.

A Dodge Challenger SRT Demon just passed the 200 mph mark in a video posted to YouTube.

The video seems fairly convincing, but it won't be considered official unless a regulating authority is present to witness the achievement.

An image showing a Demon with two passengers travelling from zero to 203 mph ....

in what appears to be a blink of an eye was taken at the Johnny Bohmer Proving Grounds in sunny Florida.

How was this achievement accomplished? The Demon is said to be the most powerful domestic road-legal vehicle ever created.

A 6.2-liter HEMI Demon V8 engine with a 2.7-liter supercharger gives the vehicle 808 horsepower on premium 91 octane fuel and ...

840 horsepower on seldom available 100 octane fuel.

707 lb-ft of torque is barely restrained by the car’s launch control, which slams the driver back into their seat with 1.8 Gs of force.

That’s a lot, in case you were wondering.

The Demon is a drag-racing monster that can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 2.3 seconds and ...

complete a quarter-mile in 9.6 seconds, as shown in the video.

The Demon, which has a curb weight of 4280 lbs and a power to weight ratio of 435 horsepower per tonne on 100 octane fuel.
