As far as specs go, Tesla is pretty conservative with its actual performance numbers.

However, there are some numbers revealed by the EV giant that allow us to make a calculated guess

Elon Musk has announced that the Semi will have three of his motors.

Considering the motors in other Tesla EVs, total power output is around 900 horsepower and torque he can estimate at

1,600 lb-ft. This allows for his 0-60 mph acceleration times of about 5 seconds (empty) and 20 seconds (car loaded). These are some serious performance numbers.

Mack Anthem, on the other hand, comes in many variations, such as MP7, MP8 and MP8HE.

Horsepower and torque range from 325 hp to 505 hp and 1,260 lb-ft to 1,860 lb-ft, depending on the trim selected.

However, the real difference is in performance Under load

the Anthem can achieve 0-60 mph acceleration in 60 seconds. That's three times slower than the Semi.

The other big difference is the price. Tesla has priced its trailers fairly competitively to disrupt the trucking market.

Prices start at $150,000 for the 300-mile version and $180,000 for the 500-mile version.

However, after tax deductions, these prices drop to $110,000 to $140,000
