The Chevrolet Corvette will only use electricity. GM announced a plan to electrify the recognisable sports vehicle. 

A completely electric Corvette will be available after the hybrid model.

The Ultium battery platform will be used in the Corvette EV as well as other electric cars made by General Motors

It will definitely be competitive in terms of performance against its potential rivals

including an electric Porsche 718 and the Dodge Challenger eMuscle.

GM will also introduce a hybrid Corvette, perhaps dubbed the Corvette E-Ray, in addition to an all-electric Corvette.

 It will likely have a gas engine behind the cabin and two electric motors up front.

Additionally, the carmaker will likely produce a stronger hybrid Corvette Z06 model.

According to rumours, it will be known as the Corvette Zora, after GM engineer and self-proclaimed "Father of the Corvette"

 A short teaser video of a disguised Corvette conducting cold-weather testing was posted alongside its announcement
