Check out how it stacks up against the Tesla Model S.

The Euro NCAP safety tests are one indication that Lucid is almost ready to offer the Lucid Air vehicle

The 2022 Lucid Air impresses with a maximum five-star rating from Euro NCAP,

which is not surprising given the premium class and onboard cutting-edge safety equipment.

The outcomes in certain areas are rather impressive. Child and adult occupant protection rates are 90%

91%, respectively. Those are some of the highest standards in the sector.

Protection for Vulnerable Road Users is at 78% (not terrible), while Safety Assist is at 84%.

The final one actually caught us off guard a little bit because we were anticipating something closer to 90%.

Comparing the Lucid Air to the freshly redesigned Tesla Model S,

it becomes clear that the latter obtained a higher rating (94% for adult occupant protection, 91%

child occupant protection, 85% for vulnerable road users, and 98% for safety assist

The tested Lucid Air GT weighs 2,371 kg, per the Euro NCAP result's brief report.

That's somewhat more than the norm, but BEVs with huge batteries are naturally hefty.
