Are you drawn to the Honda brand, but can’t decide which model to buy?

The two best-selling Honda vehicles are the Civic compact car and the CR-V compact SUV.

In this 2022 Honda Civic vs. 2022 Honda CR-V comparison, we evaluated several areas.

This includes performance, fuel economy, safety, passenger and cargo space, interior features and technologies, warranty coverage, reliability, and price

The Civic offers sedan and hatchback versions. We note the differences when applicable.

On the performance front, the standard 2022 Honda Civic model offers two powertrain

options: a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine (158 hp) and a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine (180 hp)

Also, the sporty Civic Si features another variant of the turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, which generates 200 hp

In comparison, the 2022 Honda CR-V offers two powertrain options: a turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine (190 hp) and a hybrid (212 hp).

Unlike the Civic, the CR-V offers a traction-enhancing all-wheel drive system. Also, while the Civic is not rated for towing, the CR-V can tow up to 1,500 pounds.

The Civic has quicker acceleration than the CR-V, though.

The standard Civic model has a 0-60 mph time of 7.2 seconds, and the Civic Si achieves the sprint in just 6.8 seconds.

You can either get the 2021 version or wait for the 2023 model year.
